I wrote Migrant Wings with profound love and admiration for the migrant and refugee community. My hope and goal for this song is that it will dignify the migrant experience here in the United States and beyond. We have to recognize that migrants are looking for the same basic necessities you and I look for: Life, peace, love and a place to built happiness. Regardless of our national origin, race, religion, socio-economic status, immigration status, we, migrants, are deserving of respect and dignity.
